In 2017, Kentucky Fried Chicken’s largest franchisee was tasked with leading the charge in pushing the brand’s reworked image and store prototype around the country through ground-up new-build development and a comprehensive remodel campaign. With limited internal resources on the real estate and project management fronts, our client needed a scalable, nationwide development solution to execute on a contractual obligation to build 20 new stores around the country per year.


Plaza Street Partners re-imagined the traditional build-to-suit experience and created a transparent, economically unparalleled, and programmatic solution to manage the task of 20+ new store openings annually. The resulting turnkey solution, which manages the entire development cycle from site selection all the way through FF&E and equipment installation, is now the framework for PSP’s industry-leading program that franchisees and franchisors are relying on to amplify growth aspirations around the country.
