Bret Elliott

Bret Elliott is the President of Plaza Street Partners, where he has led the firm’s team for nearly a decade. Under his leadership, Plaza Street has completed more than 250 projects across 30-plus states, specializing in single-tenant net lease transactions with a primary focus on retail — particularly quick-service restaurants (QSRs) and convenience stores.

Bret began his career in 2009 as a tax CPA in public accounting at CBIZ, where he specialized in real estate and financial institutions. After leaving CBIZ in 2012, he spent time in private equity and founded an early-stage company before joining Plaza Street Partners as President in 2017.

A graduate of the University of Kansas, Bret earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in accounting — the latter with a concentration in finance. He was named to Ingram’s Class of 2021 40 Under 40 and is an active member of the Kansas City chapter of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization). He formerly held CPA licenses in Kansas and Missouri.

Bret lives in Prairie Village, Kansas, with his wife and two sons.
